Job Title: Software Engineer

 

Job Duties: The Raymond Corporation seeks a Software Engineer in the Greene, NY area to design and develop components and subsystems in support of manufacturing of automated product development. Integrate new functions or features into existing system architecture. Responsible for verifying that system and software design implementation meet requirements. Design and implement control systems firmware on thin OS Embedded controllers. Perform C/C++ on resource-constrained embedded platforms. Follow I2C, SPI, and UART standard hardware protocols. Work on software over the complete product cycle. Work in a collaborative environment with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers. Utilize MATLAB, Simulink, and LabView. Work on Industrial control systems including PLCs, OPC Servers, or Kepware. Utilize CAN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, UWB, Bluetooth Network and communications technology. Utilize programming techniques using Python and Structured Text. Work from home allowed up to 1 day per week. Annual salary: $97,417 - $151,983.

 

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or a related field of study plus 1 year of software engineering experience in each of the following: 1.) C/C++ on resource-constrained embedded platforms; 2.) I2C, SPI, and UART standard hardware protocols; 3.) MATLAB, Simulink, and LabView; 4.) Industrial control systems including PLCs, OPC Servers, or Kepware; 5.) CAN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, UWB, Bluetooth Network and communications technology; 6.) Programming techniques using Python and Structured Text.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in an applicable engineering field such as software, electrical, computer, computer science or computer information systems is required.
• Three or more years of engineering experience is required.
