Position Overview
IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate to provide clerical office support to the Health Care Unit Administrator. This individual will keyboard a variety of complex documents, serve as receptionist and retrieve data from Offender 360 (O360). If you are detail oriented and can multi-task, this position is for you. We strongly encourage all qualified individuals to apply.
Essential Functions
- Keyboards a variety of complex charts, reports, meeting minutes, documents, forms, memorandums, and correspondence, that includes legal, medical, and mental health terminology.
- Provides clerical office support to the Public Service Administrator, Health Care Unit Administrator (HCUA).
- Serves as a receptionist to the HCU.
- Retrieves data from Offender 360 (O360).
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school AND two (2) years of related office experience.
- Requires the ability to keyboard 45 words per minute.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
