Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Technical Excellence

• Develop real-time embedded and non-real-time software in C++.

Solution Design

• Collaborate with senior engineers and global team to craft solutions and integrate them into product software.

Lifecycle Mastery

• Navigate the entire software development lifecycle, from high-level and detailed design to software implementation, unit verification, and maintenance activities.

Team Collaboration

• Work seamlessly with a global project team using the Agile Scrum methodology.

Basic Qualifications:

Educational Foundation

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related computer degree.

Experience

• 3 years of software development experience
• 1 year of experience in object-oriented design, implementation, and testing of C++.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Git, Subversion, etc.

Development Knowledge

• Demonstrated strong software design abilities, including object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle or other engineering development environments.

Onsite Commitment

• Must be able to work onsite at the Madison, WI office. Day-to-day flexible arrangements are possible.

Desired Characteristics:

Embedded Systems Expertise

• Experience developing and debugging software for real-time embedded systems.

Technical Proficiency

• Experience with Linux and/or real-time operating systems, unit testing frameworks, and multi-threaded, concurrent systems.
• Knowledge of control systems

Team Collaboration

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and across various teams.
• Worked in teams using Agile SW development methodology.
