Essential Responsibilities:
Technical Excellence
- Develop real-time embedded and non-real-time software in C++.
Solution Design
- Collaborate with senior engineers and global team to craft solutions and integrate them into product software.
Lifecycle Mastery
- Navigate the entire software development lifecycle, from high-level and detailed design to software implementation, unit verification, and maintenance activities.
Team Collaboration
- Work seamlessly with a global project team using the Agile Scrum methodology.
Basic Qualifications:
Educational Foundation
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related computer degree.
Experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 1 year of experience in object-oriented design, implementation, and testing of C++.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Git, Subversion, etc.
Development Knowledge
- Demonstrated strong software design abilities, including object-oriented design.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle or other engineering development environments.
Onsite Commitment
- Must be able to work onsite at the Madison, WI office. Day-to-day flexible arrangements are possible.
Desired Characteristics:
Embedded Systems Expertise
- Experience developing and debugging software for real-time embedded systems.
Technical Proficiency
- Experience with Linux and/or real-time operating systems, unit testing frameworks, and multi-threaded, concurrent systems.
- Knowledge of control systems
Team Collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and across various teams.
- Worked in teams using Agile SW development methodology.
