Senior QA Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer with extensive experience in UI and API automation, as well as the ability to set up automation frameworks from scratch. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in agile methodologies, possess strong leadership skills, and be able to work independently to define and implement best practices. This role requires a proactive individual who can define test strategies, set quality engineering standards, and manage test management tools like Xray or Zephyr. 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities: 

Automation Framework Setup: 

• Design and implement automation frameworks for UI and API testing from scratch. 
• Ensure automation frameworks are scalable and maintainable. 

UI and API Automation: 

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications. 
• Automate API tests to ensure robust backend validation. 

Agile Methodology: 

• Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives). 
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and quality. 

Best Practices and Leadership: 

• Work closely with developers to define and implement best practices for quality assurance. 
• Lead and mentor a small team of quality engineers, providing guidance and support. 

Test Strategy and Standards: 

• Define and implement test strategies and QE standards. 
• Establish and maintain quality engineering processes. 

Test Management Tools: 

• Set up and manage test management tools such as Xray or Zephyr. 

• Integrate test management tools with automation frameworks to streamline testing processes. 

Proactive and Independent Work: 

• Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. 
• Work independently to drive quality improvements across the engineering team. 

Nice to Have 

• Knowledge of Node.js and React for front-end and back-end development. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or software testing. 
• Proven experience in setting up and maintaining UI and API automation frameworks. 
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile environments. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
• Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor a small team. 
• Experience with test management tools like Xray or Zephyr. 
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
