Background

The Department of Finance, Division of Treasury, requires contract staff to perform professional accounting/auditing work.

Role and Responsibilities 

• The Contractor(s) must understand generally accepted accounting principles for governmental accounting, including having a thorough knowledge and understanding of GASB and/or FASB standards and statements. Additionally, the Contractor must be proficient in using Oracle ERP accounting systems, Excel, and other current technology. A knowledge of MUNIS, Crystal Reports, and BI tools is strongly preferred.
• Duties may include but are not limited to: preparing analyses of reports and making recommendations regarding the analyses; performing analysis of assigned funds/sub-funds; performing complex reconciliations of various Oracle General ledger accounts; and preparing supporting work papers for adjusting journal entries.
• Contract staff will work side-by-side with County staff to facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Contract staff will report directly to the Treasury Accounting Supervisor in the Department of Finance, Division of Treasury.
