Job Summary
Coordinates information flow between two or more areas of a single function. Under general supervision may schedule activities, delegate responsibilities and/or provide notification to others as to status of the function. Will also do call schedules, physician orientation, work with medical staff committees on agenda/minutes, and support of other medical staff functions.
Responsibilities
- administering and supporting the integrity and effectiveness of the credentialing and privileging program in compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and all federal, state and licensing agency requirements for initial appointment and reappointment.
- Develops agendas, attends meetings and provides support to the Committees of the Medical Staff, to include Peer Review.
- Utilizes Echo (credentialing management program) to record credentials information and Medical Staff statistics, as needed, to assist Administration and Medical Staff in implementing a comprehensive Credentials and Medical Staff Program.
- Works with the Physician Relations Managers to assist all new physicians and Allied Health Professionals with their clinical orientation program.
- Assists with the implementation of policies, procedures, and regulations as they pertain to Medical Staff/privileges.
- Assists with other Medical Staff Office functions as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years in medical staff support role
- Certification/License: CPCS
Preferred
- Certification/License: CPM SM upon hire
