Marketing Specialist, Growth Marketing, Industry Association Conferences
Coordinate and manage Aramark Collegiate Hospitality industry/trade association conferences and events, to support strategic engagement with existing accounts and prospective new business opportunities. Provide marketing support in the execution of association events to communicate and ensure the integrity of the Aramark brand and messaging, while enabling the selling teams’ success.
Primary scope of this role involves the coordination, management, and administration of Aramark regional and national level association engagement initiatives, including conferences, sponsorships, corporate events, and other relationship-building efforts (internal/external). Additional responsibilities may include marketing activities to support new business sales, client retention, and other B2B marketing efforts. Job Responsibilities
The Marketing Specialist develops and manages comprehensive project plans for Aramark Collegiate Hospitality industry association conferences and engagement activities to support business development. Areas of responsibility include:
- Conference/Engagement Communication: Prepare and maintain fiscal year conference/engagement calendar. Serve as a point of contact with key constituents (education association personnel, show vendors, internal Aramark team, etc.). Confirm team attendance and facilitate conference registrations. Communicate in a timely manner all necessary details and information to Growth team. Gather, analyze, and report results and team feedback (from Salesforce and debrief calls) for all association engagement activities.
- Conference/Trade Show Exhibits: Secure booth space and oversee exhibit partner company in coordination and execution of conference exhibit details, such as confirming appropriate display assets and graphics; shipping and delivery of exhibit materials; and ordering of show services (labor, electric/AV, carpet/furniture, and cleaning, etc.). Collaborate with Growth and Operations teams, other Aramark business units, and related vendors to plan appropriate exhibit space, and specialize in creating exhibit interactives to drive increased booth traffic and optimize attendee engagement.
- Client/Prospect Engagement Events: Handle comprehensive planning for any client/prospect events at national and key-targeted state conferences (including venue selection, catering, décor, invitations, and entertainment). Research different venues to entertain clients and plan events that allow the Growth team to engage and network with clients and prospects.
- Sponsorships: Work with Marketing Director to ensure all sponsorship benefits (ads, signage, collateral, mailing lists, speaking opportunities, workshops, etc.) are optimally leveraged.
- Budget Management: Demonstrate strong and skilled oversight, knowledge and understanding of the business-to business budget. Project, track and report all regional and national conference/association expenses to maintain alignment with established yearly budget.
- Marketing/ Sales Support and Special Projects: Work closely with Marketing Director to ensure established marketing objectives and sales messaging are appropriately represented and conveyed within all education association B2B communications/ materials.
- Industry Trends: Stay abreast of and identify higher education and event planning industry trends, via industry publications, online research, and walking conference show floors. Use these insights to offer strategic solutions that continually maximize investments and best position our brand.
- Project Management: Manage project sheets with deliverables and timelines to oversee the association engagement activity throughout the year.
Qualifications
Experience and Personal Attributes
The ideal candidate will have the following professional experience and skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Minimum of two years marketing experience, with demonstrated track record of success and effective performance.
- Experience in trade show/event management and with a CRM platform (i.e., Salesforce) is a plus.
- Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, within a heavily matrixed organization.
