Retail Security Agent

The Retail Security Agent is primarily responsible for ensuring property and team safety. The Retail Security Agent conducts day-to-day operations within the retail location while adhering to company policy and industry regulations. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Adhere to the company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism. 
• Provide outstanding, accurate customer service to patrons by answering or appropriately directing questions and concerns. 
• Abide by-product handling procedures, including company safety and health policies as well as regulatory agency compliance. 
•  Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store by stocking supplies, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and removing trash.  
• Operate ID scanner, Dutchie POS, and kiosk equipment. 
• Work as part of a team to ensure sales, guest satisfaction, and designated timelines meet compliance goals. 
• Escort all visitors and ensure visitor logs are filled out correctly and completely.  
• Ensure safety and security standards are maintained including but not limited to, monitor CCTV, assist with crowd control, monitor security alarm systems and conduct internal and exterior inspections.  
• All other job duties as assigned. 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) preferred 
• Prior security, high-volume retail, or hospitality experience preferred 
• Must be willing to submit and pass a comprehensive background check 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills 
• Knowledge of cannabis 
• Excellent computer and technical skills, including experience with web browsers, retail POS systems, and credit card processing terminals 
• Must be flexible regarding work schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, opening and closing 
• Must be reliable, on time, and be proud to be consistent  
• Must possess good judgement and use time wisely and productively 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks 
• Frequently sitting, standing and walking 
• Occasionally reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 50 pounds 
• Occasionally twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl 
• An environment with moderate to loud noise level
