Work Schedule: Flexible working hours Monday - Saturday 7 am - 2 pm

Desired Length of Employment: Fall/On-going

Pay Rate: $10.50-$11.50 

Key Components:

This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only. 

  • In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners.
  • Customer service oriented, tasks including waiting tables, serving food, bussing tables, and helping to maintain the cleanliness of the facility. In addition, the staff will also learn how to run the coffee station and make a range of coffee drinks.
  •  Customer service, point of sales experience, use of computer and communication skills. 
  • Must obtain a food handlers certificate.
  • Work well with staff as a team player. 
  • Good communication skills
  • Problem solving skills, a positive attitude, and desire to serve. 
  • In addition, we are seeking staff who desire to provide quality products and service to the public, have flexibility and a willingness to learn.
  • Preferred: previous customer service experience and bilingual Spanish

Job Description:

  • Work with local organization(s) or community partners
  • Provide excellent customer service as a representative of the University
  • May assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services or programs
  • May assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to community projects
  • May contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners
  • May serve as a source to provide information about resources and assistance related to community program(s) or service(s)
  • May serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community 
  • Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
  • May prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission  
  • Ability to comply with University policies  
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
