Senior Data Scientist- Search and Recommendation

We are looking for innovators who can explore what’s scientifically possible for recommendation technology while remaining committed to creating great experience for our customers</p> <p>As a Data Scientist you will be working on designing, building and deploying state of the art Machine Learning algorithms with a focus on delivering high accuracy at scale. You will translate data into insights and convincing stories which could aid objective decision making on both tactical and strategic level of the team roadmap. In the cross-functional team you will work on recommendation and implementing data engineering and statistical analysis best practices. You will also take part in the roadmap definition process as well as communicate and influence senior management and executive teams across multiple organizations within SoundCloud. We care more about your ability to read science papers, analyze the data and implement models in the form of production ready code and positive attitude towards getting things done than any prior knowledge of a particular language or framework. </p> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science. </li> <li>4+ years of experience working in AI/ML and up-to-date with recent advances in the field</li> <li>Deep knowledge of statistics specifically in areas such as experimental design, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing</li> <li>Solid knowledge of basic machine learning concepts and frameworks including Tensorflow</li> <li>Strong SQL skills and the ability to perform ad-hoc analysis using a data warehouse</li> <li>Problem solving skills and the ability to deliver concise, actionable solutions from disparate sources of data</li> <li>Clear, concise communication skill, both written and oral.
