Pay Rate:
$101,000 - $158,700
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.
Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short –term incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:
The Lime Kiln Area Process Manager (APM) serves as the point position for all facets of day-to-day operations in the caustic plant, while utilizing systems to build long-term stability and reliability. The Lime Kiln APM is responsible for a broad spectrum of areas such as Operations, Maintenance, Technical, and People. They must manage the safety, environmental, people, operations, and reliability performance of the caustic plant. The successful candidate will be able to:
- Coordinate the efforts of converting green liquor to quality white liquor in the Caustic Plant, including Lime Kiln and Slaker operations.
- Interface with other departments to ensure quality parameters are achieved.
- Investigate and implement process improvements.
- Utilize proven systems to manage and maintain process stability, including housekeeping and Basic Care.
- Support other Area Managers as necessary within the Fibers Business Unit.
- Drive the reliability culture within the caustic plant and coordinate efforts so that key issues stay at the forefront.
- Support and drive the MWS process in the caustic plant.
- Provide support on project management and/or outage management during weekly/annual outages.
- Provide strategic direction for capital and technical resources.
- Support development of FEL1 level of Project Development Process (PDP).
- Develop and maintain Operator engagement through communication, empowerment, and training.
- Set clear expectations and ensure individual accountability.
The Skills You Will Bring:
- The successful candidate will have minimum 5 years of Pulp and Paper Industry experience with a demonstrated record of safety commitment and results.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in leadership role, (pulp & paper preferred).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills is critical.
- Must have the ability to communicate to groups and individuals at all levels.
- Have a thorough knowledge of liquor cycle equipment and systems.
- Able to demonstrate leadership focused on accountability and results and be responsible for leading, directing, and developing hourly employees.
