The Airside & Terminal Operations Department is looking for a self-directed individual with demonstrated technical and analytical skills in a Senior Airside Operations Duty Manager -promotional. This promotional opportunity is reserved for current SDCRAA employees only, all other applications will not be considered.

 

Not limited to the following, ideal candidate maintains safety and security integrity consistently with mandates, policies and procedures engage:

 

  1. Manages, implements and interprets airside mandates, regulations and objectives; ensures safety compliance, inspections, participates and coordinates services for emergency situations consistently with FAR part 139 and part 77 programs, mandates, standard; manages safety, programs and maintenance of airfield, taxiways, airside, signs, markings, lighting, aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) contract, airfield wildlife management, disabled aircraft recovery, airfield driver training, obstructions, fueling, gate schedule, remain-overnight, aircraft parking, spill prevention and least tern.
  2. Advances partnership and interacts with stakeholders; collaboratively determines course of action to realize resolutions, facilitate projects; issues NOTAMs; communicates operational airfield advisory, airfield escort, resolves issues and facilitates decision making, implementation and acceptance of programs and contractual activities.
  3. Participates in opportunities to develop or streamline programs, practices, documents, budgets; reports, data, budgets and airport infrastructure; advances currency with industry and regulatory trends; responsibilities require flexibility to work rotating and shifts including weekends, holidays and night shifts; performs other duties as assigned.
  4. Participates in selection and onboard of team members; supervises, provides feedback and coaches for performance; fosters collaborative relationships and inclusion work environment.
  5. Clarifies responsibilities, assigns work and establishes expectations; delivers presentations; evaluates and implements programs, systems and procedures; responsibilities require flexibility to work rotating and shifts including weekends, holidays and night shifts; performs other duties as assigned.
  6. Manages, aligns and optimizes terminal common use facilities systems allocation, activities and facilities activations throughout the airport system consistently with organizational strategies and objectives; integrates sustainable practices into programs, projects and deliverables.

Senior Airside Operations Duty Manager is distinguished from other classifications in this series by the increased complexity of assignments, judgement exercised and degree of independence to determine methods of performing work responsibilities and supervisory assignments.

Requirements

Required Experience, Training, and Education:

  • Graduation from college or university with a four-year degree in Aviation Management, or related field.
