As an instructor with Assured Quality Homecare, you will lead our rigorous CNA training program, delivered under our Empower Training Academy (ETA) brand. This challenging and highly regarded program is designed to prepare future CNAs for impactful careers in healthcare. Assured Quality Homecare is an award-winning agency serving New London and Kent Counties. With the launch of our new office and Empower Training Academy in Warwick, RI, we are expanding to raise the standard of care through education and innovation. Join us to inspire and equip the caregivers of tomorrow. Compensation: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
Believe it or not, our story begins when our CEO Samanta (Sam), a hospice registered nurse, was challenged by her husband, Caleb, to "Do something about it!"
Working as a hospice nurse caring for the elderly with terminal illnesses, Sam's greatest frustration was that the caregivers hired by her patients' families had no idea what they were doing. It negatively affected her patients' well-being and comfort. After investigating the matter, she found that Connecticut set no standards for home care agency owners or the caregivers they hired to care for others. As a result, anyone could be employed as a caregiver with little to no experience, training, certification, or supervision, and this was often the case and still is today.
After weeks of complaining about this to her husband, being the no-nonsense type of guy he is, he challenged her to "do something about it." Little did he know that she, in turn, would convince him to leave his engineering career and help her start a home care agency, providing the elderly with high-quality caregivers who would keep them well cared for and safe at home.
Since then, Sam has continued to share her vision with countless other professionals. Convincing them to leave their careers and join her fight to be the Gold Standard for home care helping the elderly age in their home's comfort as they so often prefer.

Your Role Will Include:
- Leading the 120-hour CNA training program, balancing classroom and clinical instruction.
- Preparing students for certification through practical skills and career-focused guidance.
- Collaborating with clinical facilities to ensure students gain essential hands-on experience.
- Staying flexible and responsive to the needs of students and training environments.
- 3+ years as a licensed nurse or healthcare professional.
- At least 1 year of teaching or mentoring experience.
- Strong leadership and adaptable communication skills.
- Comfortable balancing structure and flexibility in the classroom.
- Training Center Location: Warwick RI
- Program Length: 25 Days (80hrs Classroom & Lab + 40hrs Clinical)
- Frequency: Classes run on a rolling basis once the minimum student threshold is met.
- Class Hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (20 days);
- Clinical Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (5 days).
- COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: This role requires vaccination due to working in facilities where it is mandatory.
