Connected Experience Intern

Position Summary

SEA Connected Experience, based in Mountain View, CA is seeking a summer intern for 2024. The intern position will play a pivotal role in shaping the Samsung cross-product experience for our diverse range of customers. Your primary focus will be on understanding the intersection points of our product portfolio and coming up with different creative lifestyle scenarios to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience for our customers. Your specific project will be to ideate, test, and implement new lifestyle-based scenarios for our user experience zone, a model home type environment within our offices to bring our connected products to life. You will conduct lifestyle-oriented research and user studies to gather insights about specific customer segments and design simple compelling use cases that people could use everyday. You will participate in the design, building and prototyping of new scenarios within this physical environment that can increase engagement in our product ecosystem. The scenarios will be used to scale to other retail locations and digital education.

Role and Responsibilities

• Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically Illustrator, Photoshop)
• UX/UI/Interaction Design Training (e.g. ability to create wireframes)
• User Testing & Research
• Powerpoint
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, specializing in user-centered design
• Keen interest in lifestyle trends and smart home technology
• Basic proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g. Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Eye for good design, not just aesthetics but usability
• Strong empathy for consumers & what interests them in their everyday lives
• Willingness to roll-up your sleeves and handle product setup, installation & movement of large TVs and appliances

Skills and Qualifications

This Internship will run from June 3rd to August 9th. You must be available for the full duration.

For rising Seniors the pay rate is $33/hour.
