Job Description

  1. General Summary
    Under limited direction, responsible for testing and analyzing software to ensure it meets user and performance standards.  Works closely with the software development team to create test cases based on requirements, design and functionality.  Maintains and updates test plans as new features are added and/or changed.  Tracks and reports bugs throughout the software development process.

 

 

  1. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

  1. Ability to design and develop testing and validation strategies and plans
  2. Leadership on test strategies for software products and product releases to ensure verification of stated system and functional capabilities.
  3. Provide guidance and support to the development team members as required to meet product software quality goals
  4. Develop testing and validation documentation such as Test Plans and perform Quality review and sign-off of computer system control documents.
  5. Review requirements packages and provide compliance & quality inputs to the requirements engineering process
  6. Manage multiple simultaneous testing, validation, revalidation, and change control activities.
  7. Review and approve validation and test protocols for adequacy and completeness.
  8. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements in the Systems Life Cycle
  9. Maintain test and validation related metrics and report performance to management
  10. Understand subject matter on population health analytics and devise appropriate test plans to thoroughly test the in-house built software platform for accuracy and performance
  11. Develop full spectrum test and validation capabilities from unit testing to system testing to acceptance testing based on both functional and technical testing approaches
  12. Automate all test plans to the extent possible from unit testing to system to regression testing

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences or closely related field or equivalent related professional experience is required.

2.  7+ years of hands-on software testing, validation and QA with knowledge of application, data and architecture design patterns and principles.

3.   Strong background in developing scalable testing and validation services.

4.   Excellent understanding of testing on web platforms from the GUI to backend databases, data stacks, integration patterns, concepts.

5.   Solid understanding and 7+ years of experience with both front-end (User Interface) and back-end (databases, data repositories, extracts etc.) testing and validation 

6.   3+ years of experience within the healthcare space preferred.

7. Hands on expertise writing and developing test scripts and scenarios using both automated and manual approaches

8. Proven skills on developing test scenarios for both functional and technical testing and validation

  1. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  1. 5+ years of experience developing test plans and scenarios for analytical systems, preferably in health IT domain.
  2. 3+ years of experience with scripting languages mainly python or JavaScript for testing purposes
  3. 4+ years of experience in testing across enterprise applications and integrations with back-end services and databases.
  1. 3+ years of experience with build and integration test tools, including knowledge of Jenkins, CircleCI, Git (Gitlab/ Github), JIRA, Docker, Selenium etc.
