Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Lead, the Warehouse Associate will perform shipping and receiving operations, including material handling, box making machine operation and product staging. Organize inventory, maintain shelving systems, and uphold warehouse cleanliness standards. Conduct regular inventory checks and prepare detailed inventory reports.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Safe operation of the forklift vehicle including completion of the Daily Pre-Operational and Operational Safety Checklists
  • Material handling as required throughout the production, melting and warehouse areas
  • Picking and preparing finished product orders for shipment
  • Unloading incoming and loading outgoing shipments
  • Checking weights of incoming raw materials
  • Must maintain warehouse in a neat and orderly manner
  • Repair damaged cartons and bags
  • Operate the box maker and ensure production has boxes needed for schedule
  • Must comply with all OSHA standards, particularly those that relate to forklift operation
  • Must promote a safe working environment and observe facility GMP’s
  • Works within all regulatory requirements
  • Perform all other related duties as requested
  • Responsible for the Quality and Food Safety of our products

 

About you:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent, computer experience a plus
  • Certified BC forklift operator (Must be certified or become certified within 30 days)
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Must be able to apply supervisor’s directions
  • Must be a results oriented individual who thrives on situations involving pressure
  • Be able to work first shift, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday and overtime as needed.
