About the role
PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVESThe Global Supply Chain Planner is responsible for translating demand into executable supply plans that ensure material availability, optimize inventory levels, and support global operations across Revision’s supply network.This role owns supply planning, inventory positioning, and mid- to long-term material readiness, coordinating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners—including international assembly operations—to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and operational execution.The position serves as a key cross-functional leader within the organization, directly interfacing with Finance, Operations, Product Management, and Marketing to align supply chain decisions with business objectives. This role oversees the planning and procurement of inventory, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time while balancing cost, service, and working capital.SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSupply Planning & ERP Ownership
- Translate demand forecasts, customer orders, and business inputs into supply and purchasing requirements using ERP systems (Syteline)
- Define and maintain planning inputs including lead times, order policies (safety stock and reorder points), and planning assumptions
- Review and validate system-generated planning outputs to ensure accuracy and feasibility
- Define and maintain target inventory levels across finished goods and components
- Balance service levels, inventory investment, and operational constraints
- Identify and proactively manage risks related to shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence
- Drive actions to optimize inventory health and support business performance
- Coordinate material flow and supply requirements between U.S. operations and international assembly partners
- Ensure materials are available in the right location at the right time to support production schedules
- Align supply timing with production plans, assembly operations, and business priorities
- Proactively identify constraints, shortages, and risks impacting production and customer delivery
- Lead cross-functional recovery planning with Operations, Logistics, and Scheduling
- Communicate material risks, impacts, and mitigation plans clearly to stakeholders
- Escalate critical supply risks and trade-offs to Supply Chain leadership
- Own supply-side inputs into the SIOP process, including supply plans, inventory projections, and constraints
- Partner directly with:
- Finance to align inventory strategy with working capital and financial targets
- Operations to ensure production feasibility and schedule alignment
- Product Management & Marketing to support product launches, demand changes, and lifecycle planning
- Ensure alignment between demand signals and supply capabilities across the organization
- Serve as a primary point of contact for material availability and supply-related decisions
- Communicate regularly with production and assembly teams on:
- Critical inventory delivery dates
- Shortages and constraints (e.g., “hot items”)
- Recovery plans and priorities
- Ensure alignment between planning outputs and operational execution
- Develop and track key supply chain metrics, including, inventory turns, service levels, shortages and backorders, and planning accuracy
- Identify and implement improvements in planning processes, ERP parameters, and supply chain performance
