As the Senior Manager of the E-Crime Investigations & Operations team, you will have an opportunity to protect and defend Yahoo users on a massive scale. You will lead a global team of analysts and investigators responsible for identifying and disrupting abuse and criminal activity targeting our users and our platforms. You'll lead the team to build detections and alerts to identify and remediate account compromise activity, fraudulent account registrations, and financial fraud, conduct proactive mass scale hunts, as well as intricate technical investigations with the overarching mission of disrupting the threat actors and infrastructure that targets Yahoo’s consumer-facing products and users. You will work closely with a variety of teams across the company (including the company’s Identity, Mail, Legal, BISO Office, Behavioral Engineering and Advanced Cyber Threats functions, among many others) to ensure that Yahoo users are the most secure user base on the web.

In a typical day, you may find yourself
Establishing consistent and repeatable threat detection methodologies
Collaborating with engineering teams to develop investigative tools and infrastructure
Partnering with internal product teams to increase the resiliency of Yahoo products to significant abuse issues
Networking with industry peers to disrupt threat actors and associated infrastructure
Communicating the results of the work of the team to a variety of audiences, including company leadership and external partners
Developing a long term strategy and roadmap for the team
Providing direction and mentorship to the team’s investigators and analysts
Collaborating with company counsel regarding investigation policies and process
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and hands-on experience investigating and disrupting large scale Internet-based fraud and abuse (ex. account compromise, phishing and malware, scams, payment fraud or other financial crime). Familiarity with the current cyber threat landscape, the various actors involved, and their TTPs (Tactics, Tools, and Procedures) is strongly desired. In addition, experience with scripting (Perl, Python, PHP) and data storage (MySQL, Hadoop) is desired. Experience building and growing a team or function is strongly desired.
