Journeyman Electrician applies a thorough technical knowledge of electrical theory and practice as required to adjust, align, modify, rework, and repair electronic/electrical industrial plant equipment and systems. Repairs, tests and maintains plant electrical systems and equipment.

*2nd Shift – 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM - El Segundo, CA. This position is an onsite role. *

What you will do:

• Uses electrical and electronic measuring instruments as required.

• Repairs electrical equipment, fixtures, controls and accessories.

• Determines need for repair or replacement, and best and safest method of restoring interrupted electrical service.

• Troubleshoots all types of electrical difficulties and makes such repairs and replacements of parts and accessories as is necessary to restore normal operation or to maintain uninterrupted services.

• Performs shop duties requiring use of shop equipment as is necessary to carry out maintenance operations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Experience in Electrical trades.

• Experience with testing and measuring instruments.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or trade school program

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Outlook).

• The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• The employee is occasionally required to walk long distances or stand for significant periods of time.

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement. Wage and workplace conditions, including shift times, are subject to this agreement. Individuals hired into this position will be represented by a union.
