General Overview: 

 

The Process Technician is responsible for establishing the Injection Molding process for the Ripley injection molding machines and creating standard production processes with machine and quality controls. He/she will implement automation and suggest process improvements.  The Process Engineer will make recommendations on mold, machine and auxiliary equipment along with establishing PM schedules. In addition, this position will be a dotted line supervisor to Process Technicians at Ripley MS plant and be responsible for the training Process Technicians in the plant. 

 

Overall Responsibilities:  

The list below highlights the essential job responsibilities but is not exhaustive.  

 

• Establish injection mold processes in Ripley. 

• Establish automation process on injection molding machine. 

• Create effective work instructions and process controls. 

• Define packaging for injection molded parts. 

• Make tooling recommendations. 

• Make auxiliary equipment recommendations. 

• Support training of Process Techs, and Setups. 

 

Qualifications, Skills, Competencies:  

 

• Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university and seven to ten years of related experience and / or training; equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• The ability to understand geometric tolerance. 

• Effectively works with others to achieve goals. 

• Anticipates and effectively adapts to change. 

• Shares information in an engaging, timely, effective manner. 

• Flexibility in work schedule.
