Role Summary:
Are you passionate about patient care and helping people live active lives? We are seeking a dedicated and talented individual with a passion for patient care in an orthopedic setting and background in Durable Medical Equipment to join us as a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver.

Key Responsibilities:
The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Other related duties may be assigned to meet the business need.
- Delivers and performs set-up of required equipment in the patient’s residence.
- Ensures that the equipment delivered to the patient is consistent with the prescribing physician’s order and other identified patient needs, risks, and limitations of which Surgi-Care and Enovis are aware.
- Provides appropriate information to the patient and/or caregiver related to the set-up, features, routine use, troubleshooting, cleaning, and maintenance of the equipment.
- Verifies proper functioning of equipment.
- Ensures that the patient and/or caregiver are able to use all equipment and items provided safely and effectively in the settings of anticipated use.
- Verifies that the patient has received training and instructions on the use of the equipment and makes note in the patient record that such instruction was provided.
- Provides patients with essential contact information for rental equipment and options for patients to rent or purchase equipment, if applicable.
- Provides patients with information and telephone numbers for Customer Service assistance, including information regarding regular business hours, after-hours access, item repair, and emergency coverage.
- Ensures safe and clean transport of equipment and/or supplies to and from the client’s home as required and in accordance with industry standards and applicable governmental regulations.
- Process all orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develops and maintains professional and technical knowledge by staying current on relevant home medical equipment (HME) and orthopedic products and services offered by both Enovis and Surgi-Care.
- Adheres to all Enovis policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as OIG and government program (e.g., Medicare) regulations.
- Treats Protected Health Information (PHI) with the strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with patient care and/or customer service required.
- General working knowledge of customer service-related practices required.
- Previous experience or successful completion of factory training for home medical equipment (HME) preferred.
- Working knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and orthotic products strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated patient care experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and current automobile insurance.
- Assumes on-call responsibilities during non-business hours, in accordance with Enovis policies.
- In-home equipment delivery and setting up are the requirements of this position and candidates should be aware of, as well as comfortable with, this requirement.
