Senior Associate - Accounting Systems

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Associate – Accounting Systems to join our Accounting Systems team. This role requires a unique blend of accounting/finance domain expertise and strong technical acumen to support and optimize our enterprise financial systems and process automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging technology to enhance financial processes, drive operational efficiency, and implement scalable solutions across systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O), Microsoft Power Platform, and other cloud-based tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Mapping & Redesign: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document, analyze, and redesign accounting-related processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Automation & Integration: Design, build, and deploy automated workflows using Power Automate, Dataflows, Power Query, and Azure Data Factory to streamline financial operations.
• System Configuration: Configure and maintain modules within D365 Finance and Operations and related systems to support accounting processes, internal controls, and data integrity.
• Control Design: Develop, implement, and monitor process and system-level controls to ensure compliance, accuracy, and audit readiness.
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Utilize Python and machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, AzureOpenAI) to drive insights and predictive analytics within accounting workflows.
• Data Management & Reporting: Build and maintain data pipelines, SQL queries, and reports.
• Collaboration & Support: Act as a liaison between accounting/finance users and IT, translating business needs into technical requirements and delivering timely support.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in accounting systems, business analysis, or financial process automation.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial operations.
