About the opportunityAs our Retail Customer Service Officer, you’ll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience. Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices. It’s our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one. And while they do, they’re supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.  

Role Details

• This casual role commences on $33.66 / hour for approx. 3 months, increasing to $35.98/ hour + 12% Superannuation. (Junior rates apply to those under 21 during training).
• Extensive, supportive (paid) training on commencement, Monday - Friday, for up to12 weeks, approx. 4 hours / day on a rotating roster
• After training, the position is “on call”, there are no minimum hours guaranteed, hours are based on the needs of the business
• Shifts fall across Monday - Friday, between 8.45 am - 5.06 pm , full availability  is required
• As a relief position, you must be willing and able to work at all locations - Mt Ommaney, Booval, Inala, Kenmore, Springfield and Indooroopilly

You'll be

• Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers. 
• Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS). 
• Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews. 
• Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities.
• Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs.
• Buildin
