Be Accountable and Responsible

Google Workspace & GCP Management:

  • Oversee the administration of our Google Workspace environment, ensuring it effectively enables business processes while enhancing collaboration and communication across teams.
  • Ensure compliance with data retention policies using Google Vault and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools, with proficiency in implementing and managing these solutions to protect sensitive information and maintain regulatory standards.
  • Maintain and optimize GCP resources, focusing on cost management, performance, and scalability.

Cloud Migrations and Integrations:

  • Lead migration projects, including Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace and Google to Google migrations.
  • Work with stakeholders and partners to ensure smooth transitions during migrations and provide post-migration support.
  • Support the IT Workflow Practice in their efforts to expand the use of Google within MERGE.

AI and Data Initiatives:

  • Collaborate with other teams to utilize GCP’s BigQuery and AI/ML tools to support data-driven projects, including integrations with AI solutions like Gemini.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Google Apps Script, Python, Application Integration, or other relevant tools to streamline operations.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Partner with Operations and IT leadership to align Google Workspace and GCP strategies with agency objectives.
  • Communicate technical issues, strategies, and updates effectively to team members and stakeholders.

Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

  • Implement monitoring tools to track the performance and utilization of Google Workspace and GCP services.
  • Regularly analyze usage data to optimize performance and reduce operational costs.

Incident Management and Troubleshooting:

  • Respond to incidents involving Google Workspace and GCP, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues.

Continuous Learning and Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date on Google Cloud technologies and best practices.
  • Propose and implement new tools and processes to enhance the effectiveness of our Google-based infrastructure.

These are the qualifications we’re looking for

  • 5-8 years of experience with Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration
  • Google Workspace Administrator certification required or obtained within the first 6 months of hire
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Azure
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Workspace admin tools and services, including GAM (Google Apps Manager)
