AMI is seeking an RN Clinical Supervisor / Charge Nurse to join the team in the Brick Vascular Institute (VI) office location. This position is a great opportunity for nursing leaders to join a dynamic, outpatient practice!
The VI RN Clinical Supervisor / Charge Nurse coordinates and oversees the activities of the VI and clinical team members to ensure compassionate, effective, and efficient delivery of high-quality clinical care for patients.

The VI RN Clinical Supervisor / Charge Nurse is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of clinical team members engaged in clinical care for patients, under the supervision of a Physician or provider for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
- Organizes and assigns duties and tasks to clinical team members.
- Establishes clinical team member monthly work schedules, collaborating with the Senior VI Technologist and other VI location RN Supervisors.
- Monitors the daily performance of clinical team members to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely. Monitors and controls overtime.
- Responsible for the timekeeping and Paid Time Off (PTO) management of assigned team members.
- Evaluates the performance of clinical team members and conducts verbal and written performance evaluations after 30 days, 90 days, and annually.
- Responsible for recruiting and candidate interviews.
- Conducts and documents orientation and training on clinical policies and procedures for VI team members.
- Identifies issues and recommends solutions to clinical team members.
- Ensures high quality clinical care for patients by reviewing and researching concerns or complaints. Recommends corrective action appropriately.
- Works collaboratively with others to develop and update VI policies and procedures and effectively communicates to team members.
- Implements and recommends disciplinary action as needed in conjunction with the VI Medical Director, VI Practice Administrator, and Human Resources department. Documents all disciplinary action according to policy and procedure.
- Maintains adequate clinical supplies. Ensures supply purchases are cost efficient and within the budget. Reviews and approves supply receipts with finance team members.
- Ensures clinical equipment remains in good operating condition. Ensures the crash cart remains up to date and in required operating condition.
- Ensures clinical policies and procedures comply with current state and federal regulations and OSHA, NJ Division of Consumer affairs, DOH, and CLIA requirements and regulations. Identifies and recommends policies and procedures to ensure quality, compliance, accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Assists Certified Medical Assistants, Technologists, Nurses and Providers with maintaining patient flow to ensure patients are seen timely and efficiently.
