Through TASC’s Center for Health and Justice, we inform public policy; provide consulting, training, and technical assistance; and conduct research to advance knowledge and evidence-based practice.

  

We are seeking a full time Senior Program Manager

Starting at $65,000 – contingent upon experience, education, etc.

  

Summary: This position is responsible for the oversight and management of consulting, training, and

technical assistance projects at the intersection of justice and health policy. The Senior Deflection

Program Manager will work independently with internal staff and external partners, agencies, consultants.


The Senior Program Manager will be independently responsible for assigned projects, working with

internal staff and external partners to provide subject matter expertise on first responder deflection and

pre-arrest diversion. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead consulting/technical assistance (TA) and training projects designed to build first responder
  • deflection initiatives, create public safety-to-community behavioral health linkages, reduce
  • recidivism, and support community recovery.
  • Provide high-quality TA, including on-site and remote consulting, education, and coaching to
  • deflection initiatives throughout the state of Illinois.
  • Lead the development and delivery of educational presentations both virtually and in-person to
  • internal and external audiences, including at national conferences.
  • Lead the development of training content and other project-related materials such as educational
  • handouts, worksheets, publications, videos, guidebooks, reports, webinars, workshop
  • presentations, and fliers.
  • Ensure timely completion/delivery of quality contract deliverables, consulting, and related services
  • and products through coordination with CHJ staff, consultants, and external partners. 
  • Collaborate extensively with consulting clients, project partners and funders, cultivating positive,
  • productive relationships and providing excellent customer service. 
  • Develop project documentation, narratives, and budgets for consulting and training projects and
  • contracts, and provide regular updates through reporting tools and in team meetings
  • Ensure privacy of confidential information and materials, including proprietary business and
  • protected client matters.

Requirements

 Our Ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree in public health, public policy, social work,
  • criminology, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant fields or equivalent combination of education and experience,
  • including 2 years of experience in the field of deflection
  • Knowledge and expertise in the field of deflection, pre-arrest diversion, co-responder, and
  • community responder deflection models.
  • Experience providing consulting and TA services
  • Strong project and financial management skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, resourcefulness, and self-motivation
  • Ability to work efficiently, both independently and collaboratively, and to handle multiple tasks in
  • an extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with diverse partners
  • Ability to communicate effectively across different audiences (written and oral), as well as
  • experience and comfort with public speaking
  • Ability to articulate and attend to “big picture” issues while managing detailed, day-to-day
  • concerns
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe, and Google
  • business products
