Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Vice President, Assistant Controller to join our Corporate Accounting team. This leader will play a critical role in managing the company’s global accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance functions. The VP, Assistant Controller will partner closely with the Chief Accounting Officer/Corporate Controller and finance leadership to ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial information while driving process improvements, system enhancements, and accounting best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee global accounting operations, including the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal control frameworks (SOX).
• Manage consolidation of financial statements and preparation of external financial reports.
• Oversee technical accounting research and the implementation of new accounting standards.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other functions to support business objectives and ensure alignment across finance.
• Lead the development, documentation, and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures.
• Drive automation, process improvement, and system optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure smooth execution of annual audits and quarterly reviews.
• Provide coaching, leadership, and development opportunities for a high-performing accounting team.
• Support strategic initiatives, M&A activity, and special projects as assigned by the Controller and CFO.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required).

Experience:

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX/internal controls.
• Proven success in managing global consolidation, technical accounting, and external reporting.
• Public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and public company experience strongly preferred.
