Job Summary
• This role is responsible for directing the development and implementation of a comprehensive market research and competitive intelligence strategy, overseeing multiple teams of professionals, and directing their day-to-day operations. The role ensures the development of cohesive customer and market intelligence programs, directs the establishment of metrics, and manages contract negotiations with vendors. Additionally, the role shapes the knowledge base across the organization, and performs talent management duties, maintaining ethical and legal compliance in research activities.

Responsibilities
• Directs development and implementation of a comprehensive market research and competitive intelligence strategy aligned with organization's goals and objectives.
• Oversees one or more teams of market research and intelligence professionals, directing their day-to-day operations including management of staffing, workflow, and budget.
• Directs teams to develop cohesive customer and market intelligence programs and actionable recommendations to support marketing and strategic planning.
• Directs establishment of appropriate metrics to measure results from market research and intelligence activities.
• Supervises the clarification of research and intelligence objectives to support the business planning questions.
• Oversees and guides contract negotiations with research vendors and creates and reviews research plans with each business units.
• Leads the development of training, research materials and related processes and tools to improve marketing effectiveness.
• Ensures that all research activities adhere to ethical and legal guidelines, particularly concerning data privacy and protection.
• Applies expert subject matter knowledge, shapes knowledge base across businesses, functions, or regions, and provides strong leadership, driving change initiatives and monitoring performance goals.
• Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.


Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in marketing, project management, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $146,650 to $225,850 USD annually with additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
