Senior BI and Data Product Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst will help the business to leverage the data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential issues. Our core Group Technology functions include Technical Architecture, Network &amp; Voice, IT Security, Service Delivery, Solutions Delivery and Asset Management.  Group Technology has a global presence across all regions with over 400 staff.</p> <h2>Job Overview</h2> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build strong stakeholder relationships in order to understand business challenges and collaboratively define and document precise business requirements for specific projects.</li> <li>Provide leadership and independent initiatives in facilitating information gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings to all levels of the business.</li> <li>Design, develop, model, and create data structures to integrate, prepare, and generate reports.</li> <li>Develop and build dashboards and visualizations in Sisense or similar BI tools.</li> <li>Work with the Business to ensure they can utilize the output of your projects to enable data driven decisions.</li> <li>Breakdown requirements, simplify architectures, and collaborate with other business teams to deliver intelligent data solutions in line with defined objectives and results.</li> <li>Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content.</li> <li>Identify performance, visualization and reporting challenges, and suggest code and architectures improvements.</li> <li>Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools.</li> <li>Mine and analyze large datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to the business.</li> <li>Produce and track key performance indicators.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of experience in a data/analytics role.</li> <li>Good knowledge of SQL is a must, particularly TSQL.</li> <li>Good command of BI tools such as Sisense.</li> <li>Data Warehouse experience.</li> <li>Data Modelling experience advantageous.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of ETL tools including SSIS and FiveTran.</li> <li>Experience with programming languages (Python, R, JavaScript).</li> <li>Very good command of Excel.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving abilities involving identifying the root cause of problems, assessing risks/impacts and determining and implementing effective solutions.</li> <li>Strong presentation skills and an ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences in a clear, simple way, both written and verbally.</li> <li>Analytical aptitude and interest in interrogating data to develop hypotheses and insights.</li> <li>Mathematics, statistics or economics are preferable.</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation, especially in relation to written work.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects to completion.</li> <li>Proactive and forward thinking.</li> <li>Must work well in a team environment.</li> <li>Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team.</li> </ul> <h2>Life at RWS</h2> <p>At RWS, we’re here for one purpose: unlocking global understanding.</p> <p> </p> <p>As a unique, world-leading provider of technology-enabled language, content, and intellectual property services, we remove the barriers to communication to make global connection possible.
