THE JOB:

Aria Resort & Casino is in search of a versatile Executive Sous Chef for the Convention and Banquets kitchen! This exciting role offers the chance to earn commission in addition to a competitive base salary. In this role you'll assist in providing direction and leadership for the kitchen team consistent with the MGM brand. Along with the Executive Chef you'll be responsible for leading the team to achieve the operational and financial goals of the venue; maintaining recipe, inventory and supply management for the kitchen; monitoring the performance, scheduling and training of the staff; executing initiatives as implemented by property F&B leadership; maintaining the facilities in accordance with MGM Resorts service standards; and ensuring high customer satisfaction and an exceptional guest experience.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Lead daily kitchen operations, including budgets, scheduling, and inventory

• Execute business plans, menu strategies, and training programs

• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and compliance across all areas

• Support hiring, coaching, and team development

• Collaborate with front-of-house to deliver seamless guest service

• Interact with guests and address any concerns

• Maintain strong knowledge of menu and kitchen equipment

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume or large-scale production kitchen environment, such as conventions centers, main kitchen, employee dining room, room service, or catering and banquets

• Familiarity with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and their execution

• Experience managing unionized teams

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
