Position Overview

EyePoint is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our dynamic, growing organization. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on executor who can partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring the company attracts, retains, and develops top talent in a competitive and innovative industry.

 

The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive understanding of HR functions, a track record of success in fast-paced biotech environments, and a passion for building high-performing teams that drive organizational success.

 

This position is located at our Watertown, MA site. We offer a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Individual responsibilities

 

Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business strategies, challenges, and opportunities, and align HR strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, and change management initiatives.
  • Proactively identify HR trends and solutions to address evolving business needs in the biotech space.

Talent Management and Development

  • Lead initiatives to attract, retain, and develop a diverse, innovative workforce.
  • Oversee company-wide leadership development programs, succession planning, and career progression frameworks.
  • Partner with managers to ensure performance management strategies drive employee accountability, continuous feedback and development.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Act as a resource and mediator to resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Build and sustain a positive organizational culture that supports innovation and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular pulse checks and engagement surveys, using data to drive actionable insights and improvements.

HR Operations and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, particularly those relevant to the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Partner with legal and HR team on sensitive matters, including policy development and investigation processes.
  • Plan and manage budget proposals and approved budgets for learning and development across organization.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

  • Champion DEI initiatives, embedding them into organizational practices and culture.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement programs that foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Change Management

  • Lead HR’s role in organizational change, including restructuring, acquisitions, and process transformations.
  • Design and implement strategies to support employees through change, maintaining productivity and morale.

 

Qualifications

Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited to the following:

  • High level of empathy, maturity and sound judgment with ability to balance business needs with the role of employee advocate.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communicator with demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, effectively influence and consult/coach senior leaders.
  • Experience with organizational design and non-GXP development programs in high-growth or fast-changing environments.
  • Ability to prioritize time, manage multiple projects/initiatives and collaborate with team
