Experience with road transport and sea freight? We are looking for a senior freight forwarder, an experienced new colleague with plenty of flying hours who can keep an overview during peak times. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that goods from our DSV warehouse in Dordrecht are transported further to Iceland via road transport and sea freight. Always at the most favorable rates and, of course, with the fastest possible delivery. You are on it.<br/> <br/> How you do this? By fostering close collaboration with our DSV offices to coordinate further transport to Iceland. Additionally, you liaise with our agency in Iceland to arrange export shipments. It’s therefore essential that you have knowledge of import and export logistics services, including all related (customs) documentation and processes. Experience with dangerous goods is a plus, as this is a significant part of our Icelandic shipments. Familiarity with LCL export is a must, but fortunately, you are well versed in this and the transportation of our Icelandic shipments is in your capable hands. You achieve this by:</span></span><br/>  </p> <ul> <li><span><span>processing orders in Cargowise;</span></span></li> <li><span><span>collaborating with warehouse colleagues to provide loading lists and give instructions which orders can be loaded for road transport;</span></span></li> <li><span><span>managing claims or damages and resolving these to our customer satisfation;</span></span></li> <li><span><span>coordinating with our regular carrier to arrange the delivery of empty containers and consulting with the planner about required drivers for transport to the terminal;</span></span></li> <li><span><span>organizing transport to the terminal for the weekly departure to Iceland and keeping our clients updated on the delivery status.</span></span></li> </ul> <p><br/> <span><span>Your team stands out within DSV by the close collaboration amount team members and with our warehouse.
