Logan Health’s A.L.E.R.T. air ambulance program is seeking an experienced Rotor Wing Pilot to join our flight team in Northwest Montana. ✈️ About the Role
As an A.L.E.R.T. Rotor Wing Pilot, you will serve within our air medical program, operating under FAA Part 135 and Logan Health General Operations Manual standards.
You will work alongside highly trained medical crews to safely transport critically ill and injured patients, often in complex mountain and weather environments.

🛩 Key Responsibilities
Serve as a flight crew member on assigned missions, as designated
Conduct all flight operations safely and professionally in compliance with FARs, OpSpecs, and A.L.E.R.T. policies
Make sound aeronautical decisions and participate actively in go/no-go determinations
Maintain accurate flight, duty, and training records
Participate in required training, safety initiatives, and operational briefings
Foster a calm, respectful, and professional cockpit and crew environment
Build strong working relationships with medical crew, dispatch, maintenance, and leadership
Assist with patient loading/unloading per protocol
Represent Logan Health and the A.L.E.R.T. program professionally in the community
📋 Required Certificates & Qualifications
FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Certificate
FAA Instrument Helicopter Rating
Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
Must satisfactorily meet and maintain Flight Crew requirements as listed below:
All current Flight Crewmembers will continuously meet the stated physical requirements to remain in flight status.
Maximum body weight with flight gear (flight suit, jacket, boots, helmet: approximately 10#): 250 lbs.
⏱ Minimum Required Flight Experience
2,500 hours total helicopter time
2,000 hours PIC (turbine helicopter)
200 hours night flight time
Must meet all FAA Part 135 pilot requirements
⭐ Preferred Experience
Prior EMS / SAR / Part 135 Air Medical experience
Mountain flying experience
NVG experience
Bell 407 / 407GX time
Single-pilot operational experience
