About the role

ROLE:  The Receptionist/Human Resources Assistant is responsible for welcoming visitors, supporting the Human Resources Coordinator and will provide a variety of administrative duties to support the plant as needed.   

                              

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet visitors and ensure they are directed to the appropriate person/department
  • Answer all incoming calls in a timely manner and route calls appropriately
  • Handle all internal/external mail requirements
  • Maintain the Visitor sign-in log, issue necessary PPE and badges in accordance with Genpak’s Visitor Policy
  • Assist in setting up contractors to watch contractor safety video when necessary
  • Collaborate with the HR Coordinator to assist in making brochures, flyers and other plant related correspondence
  • Assist HR Coordinator in preparing for Onboarding
  • Provide support to HR by maintaining spreadsheets
  • Back up HR on weekly payroll processing and timecard review
  • Handle multiple administrative tasks for several departments as requested
  • Assist with luncheon arrangements for guests and/or special celebrations
  • Assist walk in candidates on how to apply with Genpak
  • Support current employees with the kiosk when needed

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of Administrative experience required

Human Resource experience a plus  

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Effective Time Management Skills

 

INTERPERSONAL/COMMUNICATION:

Ability to prioritize multi-task duties without loss of efficiency or composure.

Effective verbal and communication skills

Communicate pro-actively with HR Coordinator to notify of problems or issues that arise 

Ability to establish and build relationships with internal/external customers

Strong Record keeping and follow-up skills

 

COMPLIANCE & EXPERIENCE:

Understanding and demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and understanding of regulatory requirements associated with privacy

 

SAFETY:

Demonstrated ability to comply with all Company policies and procedures and to uphold, support and exemplify the safety programs and standards.

ADA – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to:

     Work an 8-hour shift

      Sit constantly, stand and/or walk frequently

      Speak and hear constantly

      Use of fingers, hands, and arms constantly
