Insite AI is looking for a CFO to ensure its strategic vision matches operational undertakings, as it pertains to how we deploy our most valuable currencies: our cash and time. In this role you will supervise all financial functions of our company. Reporting to the CEO, you will ensure the company manages its capital and resources to its best potential. CFO responsibilities include financial planning, providing commercial optimizations to operational and strategic activities, and ensuring all accounting or legal activities are undertaken intelligently. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in both working at board/C executive level on governance topics, and managing accounting teams. Ultimately, you will maintain our company’s financial health, ensure investment is rationalized, and activate levers to increase growth over the long run.
In this role, with an emphasis on the company’s execution, you will catalyze behaviors across the organization to execute growth objectives while at the same time creating a risk intelligent culture on how that growth is achieved. With an emphasis on implementing controls, you will protect and preserve the critical assets of the organization and accurately report on the financial position and operations to internal and external stakeholders. With an emphasis on performance, you will provide financial leadership in determining strategic business direction, M&A, financing, capital market and longer-term strategies vital to the future performance of the company. Finally with an emphasis on effectiveness, you will balance capabilities, talent, and costs to fulfill the organization’s core objectives efficiently.
Requirements
- Oversee the entire finance, strategic finance, and financial planning arms of the organization.
- Drive shareholder value and market capitalization of the business through actions which increase growth as measured by revenue, customer count, customer expansion, and profitability.
- Lead the charge on proposing recommendations or undertaking changes at strategic and operational levels to Insite AI’s business units that make them more effective and cash conscious.
- Manage the company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts; including the master budget which all departmental budgets roll up to.
- Collaborate with the CEO on subsequent funding rounds including managing due diligence processes and negotiations.
- Prepare quarterly shareholder/investor reporting, and board packs with KPIs from the different business units, including recommendations. Partake in board meetings.
- Offer risk management and guidance into new or existing business models (product, market, geographic, operational, competitors) and their needs.
- Conduct analysis to determine ROI on customers, contracts, and initiatives that affect company’s cash flow and P&L. Understand revenue, costs, and profit drivers and articulate them to the whole business.
- Work with SVPs of Marketing, Sales, & Presales, to challenge their budgets, set expectations for best practice benchmarks, test rationale for their time and expenditure, and negotiate appropriate changes to optimize their activities.

- Work with recruitment to ensure hiring plans and offers are financially justified, and work HR to ensure remuneration reviews, team structures, and benefits are commercially optimized.
- Engage with external finance firms to complete corporate obligations (timeline of financial statements, annual audit, various tax returns, employment related filings, registrations, insurance).
- Supervise a team of third party accountants who will undertake payroll, AR, AP, consolidation, production of financial statements, and general accounting level tasks.
- Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations and formal policy under GAAP and IFRS.
- Oversee legal matters including negotiating key terms in customer contracts, vendor agreements, protection of intellectual property and confidential information, and work with a legal partner to fulfill legal obligations.
- Handle shareholder related transactions or negotiations (e.g. secondaries, transfers, options).
- Proven work experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or similar role
- In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping, which will be undertaken by a third party.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting/modeling, and FP&A.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Proficiency in multi-national organizations where transfer pricin
