BIOS Release Lead, Analyst

The Business Integrated Operating System (BIOS) Release Lead assumes a vital role in coordinating, overseeing, and managing the release processes that are integral to the functionality and progression of the BIOS transformation program. Serving as a primary driving force behind all BIOS release operations, the Release Lead works actively to ensure smooth coordination between all team members and stakeholders involved in the release process. The Lead must have a thorough understanding of each facet of every release, encompassing planning, controlling, management, and evaluation.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Manage the schedule for ED&I input of all BIOS program releases, ensuring timely and coordinated completion
- Collaborate with the BIOS Release Manager in aligning program objectives
- Ensure each release has minimal disruption to ED&I operations
- Assist with identifying and mitigating potential release-related risks
- Actively participate and coordinate release readiness reviews
- Communicate and popularize release management process standards and policies involved in planning release windows and cycles to optimize multiple releases
- Regularly review and propose advancements in the existing release management process
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field or, in lieu of degree, at least 6 years of relevant experience in release management.
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe) preferred
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in release management, with an emphasis on an analytical role
- In-depth interaction with technical leaders, business users, and Oracle subject matter experts is a plus
- Understanding of data transformation using ETL tools, data modeling, or data engineering
- Experience with change management, agile methodologies, and risk management
Preferred:
- Experience in transformation projects preferred
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Release Management Tools (e.g., Jenkins, TFS, Maven)
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Tools and Methodologies (e.g., Git, Bamboo, Azure DevOps)
- Metrics and Reporting Tools (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy)
- IT Infrastructure and System Integration practices (e.g., networking, database management)
- DevOps Principles and Practices (e.g., CI/CD, automation)
