About the role
Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.
As a result of continued growth, we are looking for a motivated Quality Engineer to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems, root cause analysis, and lean manufacturing principles, with a passion for solving problems and improving performance.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure product and process quality in our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Quality improvement projects across manufacturing processes to reduce internal defects, supplier defects, customer quality escapes, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Perform data analysis on quality metrics and present findings to management with actionable recommendations.
- Support internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 or other relevant standards as needed
- Monitor and improve supplier quality performance through audits and corrective actions as needed
- Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, tools and best practices.
