The Vehicle Services Program (VSP) exists to ensure compliance with the laws that govern the vehicle titling and registration processes as outlined in the Colorado Revised Statutes. Additionally, this program provides guidance and training to the state's authorized agents.
Colorado's Emissions program manages automobile inspections, licensing stations, and inspectors, and auditing facilities in ten Front Range counties. The program staff audits all emission testing facilities located in a ten-county area along the Front Range to ensure proper operation and consumer service as provided by law. This includes various testing programs (enhanced, rapid screen, and diesel opacity) using different equipment at over 80 locations with 450 inspectors.
The VSP is seeking an Emissions Administrative Manager to be responsible for providing program support in the purchasing, budgeting, and accounting processes and operations functions for the Emissions Section.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Develops monthly reports for the Operations Managers, specific to violations related to inspection facility wait times and DOR covert operations
Establishes work processes to ensure the delivery of program services. Assists the Operations Managers in the day-to-day operations of the Emissions Section
Acts as the appointed designee for the DMV fleet vehicles and contributes to weekly and monthly shared reports to DMV vehicle coordinators
Supervises and manages the workflow of the Administrative Assistant II and the Administrative Assistant III
Develops and supports emissions-related databases
Provides data analysis and supplies information for technical reports
Provides technical assistance to internal management, County Clerks, licensed inspection facilities, the general public, governmental agencies, and industry stakeholders
Ensures emissions statutes, laws, rules, and regulations are enforced
