Job Description

As a Regional People Business Partner (PBP), you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and productive work environment within several North America functions. This position involves collaborating closely with HRBP and functional leaders to develop and implement strategic Talent initiatives, ensuring the alignment and consistency of regional/global practices. The ideal candidate for this role is versatile, seamlessly moving between transactional tasks, hands-on operations, and strategic planning, adeptly adapting to the evolving needs of the People team. Highest level of confidentiality and discretion is critical. This role reports to the Director People, Corporate Functions. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic People Partnership:

    • Collaborate with People leadership to understand business objectives and formulate insights that inform proactive development and delivery of People strategies
    • Act as a trusted advisor to People leaders, providing guidance on human capital planning, talent management, and workforce development.
  • Employee Relations:

    • Work in partnership with the ER to establish best employee relations practices for our employee base.
    • Address and resolve employee relations issues within the People department.
    • Investigate complaints or concerns, providing guidance to People teams to ensure fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Talent Management:

    • Work with People leaders to identify key talent within the People function and develop strategies for talent acquisition, development, and retention.
    • Support People teams in creating and implementing career development plans for employees.
  • Performance Management:

    • Collaborate on the design and implementation of performance management processes for employees in our function.
    • Provide guidance on goal-setting, performance evaluations, and career progression within the People function.
  • People Policy Development and Compliance:

    • Assist in the development and communication of People policies, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices, recommending adjustments to People policies and procedures as needed.
  • Learning and Development:

    • Identify training needs within the People department and work with People leaders to design and implement relevant development programs.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth for People professionals.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Utilize People analytics to assess the effectiveness of People programs and initiatives.
    • Prepare regular reports for People leadership, highlighting key metrics and trends within the People function.
  • Change Management:

    • Support PLT and leaders in managing organizational change initiatives 
    • Provide guidance on communication strategies and change management best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive People experience, with a focus on People business partnering.
  • Strong knowledge of People best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
