Job Description

At Lely, we are constantly working on improving and innovating our existing robots. Would you like to experience this for yourself and get hands-on with one of our robots?! Then read on!

Practical Information:

• This internship can be either in the form of a work placement or a graduation project.
• You are available immediately for a period of 3-6 months, working 40 hours per week.
• You speak English and/or Dutch.

During this internship, you will be working on the Collector. The Collector is an AGV robot that is used to collect manure from a closed barn floor and transport it to a central dumping point. One of the challenges for the future is to further improve the navigation task.

"What vision technology is best used in the specific conditions in which the Collector operates?" is the question you will answer! You will collect real-life data from different sensors and compare them under different conditions in real barns. In addition, you will be involved in:

• Building and preparing the necessary hardware;
• Collecting and analyzing data;
• Comparing and evaluating data.

Qualifications

• You are studying Mechatronics, Robotics or something similar.
• You are familiar with SLAM and/or Localization.
• Algorithm Development is not unfamiliar to you!
• Experience with ROS and Python.
