Overview:

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is hiring an RN (Registered Nurse) to join our Family Maternity Center Team. 

Up to a $15,000 Sign On Bonus to the qualified candidate successfully hired.

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

ABOUT OUR FAMILY MATERNITY CENTER

• Mom & Baby population is 3 - 4 couplets. Our staff is also trained in newborn nursery and may be floated to NICU.

• 24-hour coverage by board certified obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and advance practitioners
• 24 private postpartum rooms
• Lactation Specialists available seven days a week
• Infant security system

Position Available

• Full Time, 36 hours
• Day Shift, 7am – 7pm
• NICU

Education

• RN-Associate’s Degree
• RN-Bachelor’s Degree
• RN-Diploma
• RN-Master’s Degree

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• NRP within 6 months of hire

Experience

• Experienced RN.  Experience in areas outside of women’s health may be considered.
