The Role at a Glance

The Vice President of retail Investment product strategy will develop and execute the product strategy and lead initiatives that are aligned with corporate growth and market opportunities. They will work with internal stakeholders to provide leadership, direction and functional investment expertise and thought leadership in the development of a market leading and profitable Fund Management line-up. They will lead teams that are responsible for continuous improvement in the analysis and financial considerations of Funds Management. 

 

Ideal candidate:

• Experience with retail investment product strategy, specifically with traditional mutual funds and alternative evergreen funds, and being able to create go-to-market strategies and create longstanding partnerships with our distribution groups.

• Leads the creation, structuring, and launch of new alternative evergreen funds and other retail investment products. 

• Contributes to business development initiatives and coordination of strategic initiatives with internal Product partners and Legal team leaders. 

• Oversees product management for existing retail and alternative funds, including ongoing competitiveness assessments, pricing, and profitability analyses. 
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful fund launches and ongoing operational excellence. Recommend changes and/or actions as appropriate to further the strategic objectives of the Funds Management group and Lincoln’s product lines. 

What you'll be doing

• Partners with new and external subadvisors to identify, design, and implement innovative investment strategies and structures.
• Leads market research, competitive intelligence, and white space analyses to identify emerging trends and opportunities in retail and alternative investment products. 
• Establishes a framework for determining the evaluation and prioritization of identified initiatives. 
• Provides thought leadership and investment expertise in support of the ongoing development of the broader investment team. 
• Develops quarterly business review materials and oversees key Retail Funds Board initiatives. 
• Provides oversight of competitive intelligence, analysis and comparisons on an on-going basis. 
• Develops client ready presentation materials on fund performance and market information. 
• Develops and maintains a robust competitive intelligence platform and ensure management is abreast of changes in the marketplace with ability to drive change and prioritize strategic decisions accordingly.
• Serves as member of the Investment Committee, Derivatives Committee, Fair Valuation Committee and Asset Allocation Committee of LFI. 

What we’re looking for

• 4 Year/bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) (Minimum Required) 

• 5+ Years of management, strategy, and influencing senior management/critical stakeholders experience (Required) 

• 12+ Years’ experience in Financial Services with primary background in investment analysis, risk management and/or investment management (Required) 
• Travel Amount: up to 30%.
