This self-motivated individual will be responsible for Payroll related tasks at Utah State University.

This a year-round full-time position.

 

Job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Process payments in the USU EZ-Buy system
• Complete garnishment interrogatories
• Answer multiple telephone lines in a professional manner
• Complete payroll forms
• Verification of International tax treaties and documents
• Includes any other Payroll related tasks assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years of relevant experience OR an Associate's Degree
• Must be able to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in written form
• Must have experience in working in multiple computer programs simultaneously including Windows, Excel, and web browsers.
• Must be able to handle confidential information
• Accurate ten-key and keyboarding required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bookkeeping/accounting related work experience of Associate’s degree or certification in business/related field
• Knowledge of USU’s Banner Finance System
• Prior Payroll Experience
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and acquire new skills

Advertised Salary

Minimum $43,000 commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
