Job Description

Join an inclusive, collaborative Business Technology team as a Principal Cloud Architect in AbbVie BTS. In this role, you will serve as a technical visionary, shaping enterprise cloud strategy and driving innovation in a global, highly regulated environment. You’ll lead the design and implementation of cloud-native architectures—primarily on AWS—while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Partnering with multidisciplinary teams and specialized architects in Security, Data, Network, Application, and UX, you will integrate cloud solutions across Enterprise Architecture to enhance product delivery and accelerate adoption of modern platforms. 

In this role you’ll be responsible for: 

• Define, drive, and continually refine the enterprise cloud architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational vision, business objectives, and compliance standards (i.e., GxP). 

• Lead the architecture, design, and hands-on implementation of secure, resilient, and scalable AWS-centered solutions, leveraging strategic use of services such as EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, RDS, and EventBridge. 

• Develop, evaluate, and endorse architectural diagrams and comprehensive documentation for cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and collaboration across technical and business stakeholders.
