LSF Internship

As a Lakeshore Sport & Fitness intern you will assist in the day-to-day operations of all of our events, marketing, children’s programs, and daily operations of the health club. Duties may include inventory management, equipment maintenance, event staff management with a special emphasis on customer service with the general public. The internship position requires evening and weekend hours. Applicants should be recreation, sports management or physical education degree candidates looking to work on the operations side of 185,000 square foot health club in the heart of Lincoln Park. 20 of the 40 hours are paid.

• Team leader for events, marketing, children’s programs and club operations.
• Provide excellent customer service. Assist in planning and booking programs, marketing collateral and event preparation.
• Manage retail and rental equipment inventory. This includes inspection for defects and ease of use.

• Degree or enrolled towards a degree in sports management, physical education or recreation.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours a week with 20 hours of the internship be paid at $14.00 per hour.
• Remaining 20 hours unpaid are for administrative & management duties associated with completion of Internship program assignments and projects.
• Friendly, outgoing and have the ability to handle children and adults in a high-pressure outdoor environment.
