We are hiring a Corporate Events Intern to assist the People Operations team in organizing company-wide events throughout the year. The Corporate Events Intern will play an integral role in the planning and execution process for our biannual All-Company Summits, and will also be tasked with planning departmental events and small culture events held on a quarterly and monthly basis, respectively. The ideal candidate is creative, extremely detail-oriented, and able to use big-picture thinking to conceptualize event outcomes. The goal is to organize unforgettable events while upholding FMX’s mission, vision and core values!
Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Events Intern, you will:
- Understand the goal for each event
- Plan with attention to both financial, time, and team distribution constraints
- Research and procure vendors for catering, decorations, venues, entertainment, etc.
- Participate in pre-event meetings to help make decisions about event design
- Manage event operations and logistics, including invitations, guest lists, seating arrangements, venue preparation, transportation, equipment, marketing materials, etc.
- Oversee event happenings and act quickly to troubleshoot any issues
- Uphold FMX’s vision and values with each company event
- Assist with other People Operations related projects as needed
Requirements
Preferred Experience & Qualities:
What are we looking for in this role?:
- 0-1 years of experience with coordinating and planning events
- A desire to gain experience in Event Management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time

The hiring process for this role:

Compensation:
- The hourly range for this position is expected to be $15/hr.
- Duration: Summer 2023 & Fall 2023 with the opportunity to extend into 2024
