Senior Software Engineer

Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a talented Software Engineer/Architect to design and develop software systems for multiple projects.

This role involves software architecture design and collaborative software development in an agile scrum environment using a multitude of object-oriented languages (e.g., C++, C#, Java).

The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and be a motivated independent learner. The candidate must be highly organized and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or an equivalent degree.

• Must have a minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience (or 6 years of experience with master’s degree).

• Must have experience in designing and maintaining software products and implementing software designs.

• Must have experience in software development, data structures, object-oriented design, and effective unit testing.

Other Qualifications:

• Should have experience with software best practices such as peer reviews and document generation.

• Experience with Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocol a plus.

• AR/VR development experience a plus.

• Business development experience a plus.

• Leadership skills/experience a definite plus.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
