Positions in this sub-family are responsible for providing services related to management of the organization's information technology resources to internal and/or external clients in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) organizations or in Global Capability Centers (global in house captives/shared services centers). Activities include (but not limited to) developing, implementing, and testing internal IT applications and systems software; installation, administration, and maintenance of information technology resources (including IT hardware and software, data/voice networks); providing support to technology users. A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include: • Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. • Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. • Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

As part of an Asset Management team, the Sr IT Asset Analyst II is responsible for implementing, executing, and upholding policies and procedures that track the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets, including maintaining the IT asset management (ITAM) repository. Executes processes and procedures and provides reporting to maintain cost-effective maintenance, support, renewal, and disposal of IT hardware assets in partnership with technology services, Supply Chain, and IT procurement.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Proactively maintains the hardware and software data throughout an asset's lifecycle within the IT Asset Repository;
  • ensure data elements necessary to support I&T service delivery are managed in a timely, comprehensive, and accurate manner.
  • Assists in the training and mentoring of Asset Analysts;
  • serves as an escalation point for more complex requests.
  • Provides reporting to support teams, application analysts, and other internal customers to proactively address data/compliance concerns, ITAM service delivery, and customer needs.
  • Provides support and documentation for IT Asset Management tool sets;
  • interfaces with internal I&T teams that contribute to the success of the data and integrations.
  • Assists in developing and reporting metrics highlighting the IT Asset Management service delivery.
  • Participates in software compliance efforts including identifying and reporting areas of concern as well as providing remediation of issues.
  • Participates in software license renewals; including, but not limited to, working with the end users, I&T staff, Supply Chain, and vendors
  • Develops and maintains processes to gather core data elements related to asset, inventory, contract, supplier, and procurement activity for import into the IT Asset Repository.
  • Assists Lead IT Analyst with activities necessary to support software licensing and compliance activities.

 

Employment Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years experience in IT, Healthcare IT (preferred) or 8 years experience in lieu of degree.

 

Licensure/Certification Preferred     IAITAM certified, ITIL certified, SAM certification

 

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required      

  • Direct experience supporting and administering IT Asset Management, knowledge of asset life-cycle management,
  • strong understanding of software licensing and compliance, excellent PC skills and office management software, and familiarity with databases,

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred       

  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail and high levels of accuracy, data gathering and problem-solving skills, familiarity with purchasing systems, clear written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate with peers and managers.
