MAINT-QA/QC Manager II

Position Responsibilities: 

• Maintains, audits, and provides reports/paperwork as required to AI and Project Management 

• Supervises and establishes project requirements for selecting the proper procedure and techniques for project quality control for the discipline or project segment assigned to 

• Supervises Quality Control Inspectors on weld testing examination to ensure proper procedures are being followed to specifications and maintains inspection, test, examination, and Quality Control Records 

• Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate and correct customer issues to quality 

• Identifies critical control points and preventive measures, establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures, monitoring inventories 

• Provides leadership for Quality Control supports activities for assigned project to ensure that products or services provided meet customer and project requirements 

• Provides leadership for development and implementation of Quality Control procedures, resource allocation, and evaluates the adequacy of specific programs used to test, inspect, and examine personnel 

• Maintaining all procedures, QA/QC manuals, applicable codes on site for reference 

• Keeping all welding qualifications, WPS, code document, and R-1 required documents updated and complete on site 

• Planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing inspection, NDE, QA/QC activities toward company and customer’s objectives of Quality Assurance and Quality Control 

• Keeping Project Management, Field Supervision, and customer reps informed of inspections, activities, and/or development and arising there from 

•  Examining all information and instructions received from customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and elevate them against applicable codes and company QA/QC program 

• Maintaining, liaison with customer’s inspection, supplier, sub-contractors, governmental inspection representatives, and any other regulatory body pursuant to the maintenance of quality standards, programs, or requirements; providing advise/consultation 

•  Arrange chemical, mechanical, electrical, metallurgical, NDE, and hydrostatic testing. Arranging to quality and obtaining all the necessary paperwork for welder, welding operator, welding procedure qualification records as required 

• Performing all duties of quality control inspection including material, dimensional, welding, NDE inspections accepting or rejecting questionable or unsatisfactory conditions in materials, or workmanship or referring to higher authority for decision making 

• Maintaining company standards of quality 

• Advising and assisting the QC staff and others in the interpretation of standards, codes, and specifications 

• Maintaining close contact cooperating with production supervision and Project Management to obtain production accuracy and quality work 

• Maintaining Inspection QC and QA procedures and equipment at satisfactory level and good working order 

• Keeping informed of current and anticipated work activities and planning for inspection and QA/QC work accordingly
