ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures
- Have thorough working knowledge of POS system -- ordering, check presentation, payment processing.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment, and use equipment only as intended.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, glassware and garnishes for events.
- Maintain complete knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items (including daily specials), prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients, and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation.
- Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code of the restaurant.
- Know and use all table numbers and position points throughout the event spaces
- Maintain complete knowledge at all times of:
- all hotel and restaurant features/services, hours of operation.
- local area attractions/activities
- scheduled daily group activities.
- Complete all side duties as assigned, including setup and breakdown of all bars and cocktails furniture
- Provide opening and closing counts of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the start and end of the times covered by the Banquet Event Order
- Requisition supplies as needed from the Supervisor.
